With several high-profile investments, including Uber, Airbnb, Spotify, and Robinhood, he has made a profitable relationship with technology over the last decade. Kutcher owns a venture capital firm that has invested in BitPay, a payment processor that allows merchants to accept payments in Bitcoin. He also invested in Unikrn, an esports betting firm that attracted investments from American investor Mark Cuban and Ethereum co-founder Anthony Diiorio.

Jamie Foxx is an Oscar-winning actor and musician who has given a few technology endorsements over the years. The 50-year old comedian has joined the cryptocurrency craze after he promoted his participation in the ICO of cryptocurrency exchange platform Cobinhood to his more than four million followers on Twitter in September 2017. The exchange allows investors to trade cryptos with zero trading fees. Foxx’s tweet led Cobinhood to raise nearly $10 million mere weeks after his endorsement.
Mike Tyson
Coming to sports stars, boxing legend Mike Tyson is also an early supporter of cryptocurrency. Tyson is a firm believer in the “Bitcoin Revolution” and the massive potential of the underlying technology. Tyson has not only invested in Bitcoin, but he has also gone ahead to produce Bitcoin ATMs branded with his tribal face tattoo. A year later, in collaboration with Bitcoin Direct, he developed a Bitcoin Wallet with his tribal face tattoo in the hope to convert more users to start using the wallets.
Katy Perry
Katy Perry is a well-known pop song hitmaker over the past several years. She also appears to have a keen interest in cryptocurrency. She has over 70 million followers on Instagram, which means a massive number of her fans have seen or reacted to a couple of crypto-related posts on her profile. In November 2017, Perry posted a photo on Instagram sitting alongside American investor Warren Buffet while asking him about his thoughts on cryptocurrency.
In January 2018, she posted on Instagram of her nails done with some different cryptocurrency logos, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero, and Ethereum.
The fact that Katy Perry has the most followers on Twitter in the world, with over 107 million followers, means that her positive outlook was a boost to the perception of cryptocurrencies for millions of people.

No other rapper has benefited from the rise of cryptocurrency like famous rapper 50-Cent. 50 made an effort to incorporate crypto in the way his fans purchased music, and so he accepted Bitcoin purchases of his 2014 album Animal Ambition. After the sale, 50 Cent received 700 Bitcoins, valued at $660 each at the time. In 2017, each Bitcoin’s value exploded to a record high of $19,850 in mid-December, where his Bitcoins rose in value to as high as nearly $14 million. By the time he celebrated his new fortune in January, the value had dropped to $10,000 per Bitcoin, roughly $8 million.
Lionel Messi
Messi is a Barcelona and Argentina football star and also among the most recognized figures in the world. He is one of the biggest influences globally, with an astounding 96 million followers on Instagram and 88 million on Facebook. In 2017, Messi became the brand ambassador for the World’s First Blockchain Smartphone – Finney, a project by the blockchain-based company Sirin Labs. On his Facebook page packed with over 90 million followers in a paid post, Messi endorsed the plan in a move aimed to reach an untapped market of people who may never have heard of blockchain tech.
James Rodriguez
Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world, and some of the biggest names in the game have their cryptocurrencies. James Rodriguez is a 27-year-old Columbian-born midfielder who has endorsed his altcoin. In June 2018, a company known as Selfsell launched the JR10 token – a digital currency both named for and approved by James. The JR10 tokens released during its presale sold out in just 12 seconds.
The JR10 tokens will allow Rodriguez’s fans to purchase things like game tickets and exclusive merchandise. Players like Rodriguez have helped cryptocurrency gain global exposure even though it may or may not have been their intent.
