World Grand Prix – Starts TONIGHT on Sky Sports 7pm

This is it – another great darts tournament on the TV, and I’m sure all you darts fans are more than ready for it!  It’s a busy time now for darts, with the WGP, the Grand Slam, The Player Championship finals, and of course the World Champs all coming up in the next 3 months.  Plus quite a few pro tour events to bring you the results from, so BRING EM ON I say

Tonights eight games are the first half of round 1, with tomorrow showing the remaining eight.  The games are each first to two sets, first to 3 legs in each set.  So the min number of legs that a game can be is 6 (a 6-0 whitewash).. but you could get up to 15 legs for you money

BETTING: Remember you can flutter on both the tournament winner, and individual games, plus things like most 180′s, and individual legs!  If you use William Hill using THIS LINK, you will get £25 free matched bet, and help this site out a little.

All sessions are screened live on Sky Sports HD in the UK, as well as in Holland through RTL7, Germany through Sport1 and in Australia on Fox Sports.

In addition, subscribers can watch live coverage and highlights within the LIVEPDC.TV website.

Tickets are still available for the World Grand Prix by calling the Citywest Hotel Box Office on 00353 (0)1 401 0505, and in person at the Box Office on the night of the event.

Schedule of Play For Tonight: Monday October 3 (7pm)

First Round
Brendan Dolan (7/4) v Wayne Jones (2/5)
Justin Pipe (8/11) v John Henderson (EVNS)
Vincent van der Voort (5/6) v Kevin Painter (5/6)
Wes Newton (4/9) v Colin Lloyd (13/8)
Adrian Lewis (4/11) v John Part (2/1)
James Wade (2/7) v Steve Brown (5/2)
Raymond van Barneveld (4/9) v Mervyn King (13/8)
William O’Connor (13/8) v Andy Smith (4/9)

I notice my mate Justin Pipe is now favourite in his match – after his win on the Pro Tour yesterday over Phil Taylor in the final.  I already had him as slight favourite, due to his 3-0 head 2 head against Hendo, but of course those wins have been off the TV screens.  Still JP goes into the game on a real confidence high.

Adrian Lewis lost in the 1st round twice over the weekend – but don’t let that fool you, I find he often can’t concentrate on the floor when he’s got a big TV tournament coming.  It may not be an indicator of form at all…

Let’s hope it’s a great tournament, and if you are going to be there in Dublin, ENJOY!

Oh and don’t forget, if you’re going along to a TV tournament – you need to be dressed to impress, or at least to stand out in front of the cameras.  So why not visit our t-shirt shop, exclusive DB&C! designs, for the true darts fan
