PDC Darts Fans Forum in London

DARTS fans will be able to preview the William Hill World Darts Championship in a special William Hill PDC Fans’ Forum featuring World Champion Gary Anderson and PDC Chairman Barry Hearn in London on Tuesday December 15.   The FREE event, sponsored by William Hill, will be held at the new Flight Club darts bar on the corner of the City and Shoreditch in London, following the success of previous PDC Fans’ Forums held in Glasgow, Blackpool, Dublin and Wolverhampton earlier this year.

Reigning World Champion Anderson will join PDC Chairman Barry Hearn for the Q&A ahead of the start of the World Championship, which commences two days later on December 17.

Hosted by Sky Sports’ Nigel Pearson, fans will be able to ask questions on the day but will also be able to submit in advance through the @OfficialPDC Twitter account using #PDCFansForum.

I went along to the pre-Slam fans forum in Wolverhampton, and was impressed how well it was organised, with the fans getting lots of time to ask questions, and the players signing autographs after the Q&A session.  So get yourself along if you’re London way, and you won’t be disappointed.

The William Hill PDC Fans’ Forum will commence at 12.45pm on Tuesday December 15 and will be followed by an autograph session.

Fans attending can also pre-order a burger and a beer to collect on arrival from 12pm via this link , while Flight Club’s darts oches will be available for hire from 2.30pm. Guests should call Flight Club (0203 019 3093) and quote the code PDCFF180 to receive a £5 discount on the hourly oche hire.

Catch-up with Pre-Slam Fans Forum

If you didn’t get chance to watch or be at last night’s fans forum at the Cleveland Arms in Wolverhampton, the whole thing is available to watch below.

I was there – I arrived a bit late due to trains, so I hung around the bar forcing myself to have a beer or two – tough times! The players (Taylor, Scott Mitchell, and Chizzy) mixed with fans afterwards, signing loads of stuff and having photo’s taken. I got to spend a quality couple of hours with my mate Chizzy, his lovely wife Michaela, and his manager Rodger. Luckily I’m lively enough this morning, and ready for two sessions of darts at the Slam today!

Taylor, Chizzy and Scott Mitchell to Star at PDC’s Wolverhampton Fans Forum

News just in, and it seems someone heard I might be heading over to the Cleveland Arms the Friday before the Grand Slam starts, and have invited Phil Taylor along to crash my party!

UPDATE:  DAVE CHISNALL and Scott Mitchell are to join Phil Taylor at the PDC’s Wolverhampton Fans’ Forum on Friday November 6 ahead of the SINGHA Beer Grand Slam of Darts.

REIGNING SINGHA Beer Grand Slam of Darts champion Phil Taylor will be amongst the stars taking part in the fourth PDC Fans’ Forum, to be held on Friday November 6 at The Cleveland Arms in Wolverhampton.  Stoke legend Taylor, the 16-time World Champion, will be joined by two other players for the special Fans’ Forum to preview the SINGHA Beer Grand Slam of Darts.

Lakeside Champion Mitchell is set to make his debut in the Grand Slam of Darts at the Wolves Civic next month as one of eight BDO representatives in the Sky Sports-televised tournament.

He will join PDC star Chisnall – last year’s Grand Slam of Darts runner-up and a semi-finalist in this year’s Premier League – for the latest PDC Fans’ Forum, which will be held at Wolverhampton’s Cleveland Arms on Friday November 6.

The Fans’ Forum will give darts fans the chance to quiz Mitchell, Chisnall and reigning Grand Slam of Darts champion Taylor to preview the Sky Sports-televised event, which will be held from November 7-15 at the Wolves Civic.

The night will be hosted by Sky Sports’ Nigel Pearson, with Taylor set to be joined by two other stars from the event, who will be announced in due course.

Previous PDC Fans’ Forums have been held in Glasgow, Blackpool and Dublin, allowing fans at the events and watching online via the OfficialPDC YouTube Channel the chance to quiz some of darts’ biggest names.

Fans will also be able to submit questions to the players in advance through the OfficialPDC Facebook and Twitter pages, using #PDCFansForum.

The Cleveland Arms, on Stow Heath Lane in Wolverhampton, has hosted many previous darts exhibitions and is a favourite darting venue for local players.  Their website can be found here (Funny enough it’s run by me, Krispy).
