Playtech Casinos

Playtech are right up there with the best casino software providers on the net. Unlike smaller developers – who limit themselves to slots alone – Playtech have their fingers in many pies. They have produced table games, bingo games, live dealer titles and, of course, slots. They are renowned for having the most extensive progressive jackpot slot network around, and regularly feature major brands as themes in their online slots. Fast approaching their 20-year anniversary, Playtech is just as popular now as they have ever been. What has made Playtech so successful? Let’s find out…

About Playtech & Playtech Slot Machines
Playtech debuted in the online casino world in 1999, and their games are playable in many countries across the globe. They have a close affinity with UK casinos and sportsbooks, though. Not content with developing their own games, Playtech is a company which snaps up smaller counterparts, too. Since their launch, they have acquired Virtue Fusion and turned it into one of the leading bingo networks around. They have also purchased Ash Gaming, Quickspin and others to create quite the umbrella of top software developers.

The UK Gambling Commission licensed Playtech, but they also boast licenses from other countries, too, including Italy’s AAMS and the MGA of Malta. It isn’t just Playtech’s reach which is vast. With over 500 games in their arsenal, the casino software providers can offer slot lovers virtually anything they wish to play. Slot genres you can find from them include classic slots, fruit machines, video slots, and of course, progressive jackpot slots.

Just over two years ago, Playtech suffered a significant blow. For years, their Marvel superhero-themed slots had been the envy of the casino world. The casino software providers had over 25 of them, each themed on a Marvel superhero and all sharing the same four progressive jackpots, which ran on their Marvel network. Despite the major blow, Playtech regrouped. They have since snapped up the DC license from under rival developer, Microgaming’s nose, and have replaced their Marvel series of jackpot slots with the DC Super Heroes Jackpot network. Despite the loss of a Marvel license, superhero fans can still get their dose of jackpot games from Playtech.

Playtech doesn’t just focus on superhero slots, though. Their games also cover Irish luck, major motion picture, game shows, television series, sports, Far Eastern themes, lifestyles of the rich and famous, animal-themed games, and more.
Playtech’s Most Popular Slots
To give you a better idea of what they can offer, let’s look at some of Playtech’s more notable slots.
Any of the games running on the DC Super Heroes progressive jackpot network will be well worth a look. All come with shared progressive prizes, some of which run in the hundreds of thousands of pounds mark. Each game is themed on a DC superhero (so, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and so on) and each game comes with its own unique features.

Although the DC Super Hero slots have gone on to replace Playtech’s lost Marvel slots, that wasn’t their original intention. To replace those games, Playtech originally came up with the Age of Gods series. These offer a similar type of progressive jackpot network as the DC games, and there are now over 10 of these games in the series, also each with its own features, and themed on characters from Ancient Greek mythology.

Another cracking example of a major Playtech progressive is Beach Life. Well over 10 years after it first debuted, Beach Life continuous to be one of the most popular progressives on the net. Sure, it can be challenging, and its graphics are no longer hot stuff, but this game is still a legendary title in the history of Playtech slots.

Playtech has also proven it can produce big, Hollywood-themed slots, too. Slots such as The Mummy offer big wins with minimal stakes. This game is known for its surplus of bonus rounds, and its ability to allow players to adjust features while playing.

Fairy tale-themed slots also prove popular with fans, and Big Bad Wolf is one of Playtech’s better titles in this genre. It offers superb, quality, animated graphics and a flurry of special features each linked to the Three Little Pigs. Even huffing, puffing and blowing houses away has been incorporated into this fun non-progressive slot.

Like all big developers, Playtech has the experience, the desire and the know-how to offer you all manner of top online slots.
Playtech powers on with a series of new slot releases
Playtech aren’t beating around the bush this month. The popular online casino software provider has been hard at work releasing a flurry of new slot machine games. If you happen to be playing at a Playtech powered casino, it is shaping up to be a fantastic month indeed. Here are just a few of the sweet treats you get your hands on as Halloween approaches.
It is only fitting that we first look at Playtech’s Halloween-themed slot, which made its debut before any rivals got their own spooky-themed slots out and about. Pumpkin Bonanza, as it is called, offers just 5 reels and 10 lines of action, but the game does come with a raft of nifty features. Expect pumpkin wilds to dish out wins in both directions. If this occurs, you can also snap up a Bonanza Spin, which offers re-spins with wilds potentially appearing on all the reels of the game.
Also debuting this month is Playtech’s latest DC Super Heroes progressive jackpot, Suicide Squad. Just because the film was lacklustre doesn’t mean that the game will follow suit. The Enchantress symbol is the key to a plethora of features in this game, which can see villain icons deliver all manner of goodies. The fact that you can win four progressive jackpots at random certainly doesn’t hurt either.
Playtech have also launched the Baam Boom slot this month. This pirate-themed slot only offers 5 reels and 25 lines, but it packs punches elsewhere. Most of the bizarre gameplay in this slot revolves around map icons which appear above the reels. Wilds can be collected and fired at the maps, which in turn dish out treasure. If you have a penchant for high seas-themed slots, this could be the way to go.
There are plenty of other slots recently released by the software provider, too, and with many more to come as October kicks into gear, there’s never been a better time to be playing at Playtech casino sites.
What are Playtech Casinos?
As one of the biggest casino software providers on the net, Playtech casinos have a massive reputation to uphold. This goliath of the online betting industry has had an impressive history since it was founded in 1999 and continues to be a name you can trust when playing online casino games. Playtech have their fingers in many pies: they develop Playtech casino sites, slots, table games, bingo games, power some of the UK and Europe’s most loved betting sites, leading to an annual revenue of more than €700m. How did Playtech come to be, though, and what can they offer you? Let’s dive into the exciting world of one of the internet’s top casino game developers…
Playtech were founded in 1999, by Teddy Sagi. This Israeli-Cypriot businessman decided to launch his product out of Tartu, in Estonia. Working with casino, software and multimedia-based partners, the company he created launched its first casino product just two years later. Sagi’s goal was to rival the internet’s leading casino software providers at the time (IGT and Microgaming) and make Playtech casino sites the market leaders. Today, Microgaming remains a direct rival to the prowess of Playtech casinos, but in more recent times, IGT have faded from view, allowing Net Entertainment to challenge Playtech’s dominance as one of the big three in the industry.
Playtech Casinos: A history of success
Despite a promising start, Playtech suffered a shock when in 2006 the Unlawful Inter Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was passed in the United States. This effectively cut off the internet gambling industry from the country, making online betting illegal. A massive drop in Playtech stock (40% in a single day) forced Playtech PLC to buy assets from its founder in exchange for $250 million, enough to keep the company in business. Without Teddy Sagi, Playtech could have gone under.
After that nasty surprise, Playtech started to look at other areas to increase income, so that their status would not be jeopardised again. Snapping up poker communities, Aristocrat Lotteries, and other smaller-scale casino software providers gave Playtech an edge. The launch of their Virtue Fusion bingo platform also opened new doors for the rapidly growing company.
Despite pulling out of other markets since (such as Germany in 2015, Belgium and a handful of other European countries due to changing gambling laws), Playtech casinos have been able to make a name for itself over in Asia and established itself as a leading software developer for some of the UK’s biggest betting websites, including top high street betting outlets and their online sportsbooks. More recently, the company has snapped up further businesses, such as Swedish casino software provider, Quickspin in 2016, and have pushed into emerging markets, such as Romania in 2017.
Last year was one of sadness and joy for the company. Playtech had found much success on the back of their Marvel progressive jackpot slot machine games, but the loss of their license (thanks in no small part to Disney’s acquisition of Marvel) was thought to be a serious blow to Playtech’s appeal. However, the company fought back and acquired the DC Universe license in a deal with Warner Bros from under Microgaming’s nose. This major coup has enabled Playtech to re-establish itself as the leading developer of the much-loved superhero slot genre, and at the expensive of their primary rival.
In February 2018, the Playtech conveyor belt unrolled over 10 new slots to players, including further franchised slots. For the second time, Playtech is proving to itself and their critics that they are resilient to misfortune in the ever-changing online casino world. After all, the average Playtech share prices are doing very well.
New Playtech Casinos
Unlike most operators there are actually very seldom new Playtech casinos which open on the market. This is both a good and a bad thing. Good because most new casinos are plain awful and that is because there are just so many opening every week that quality has to suffer. Bad news though as it would be nice to see one or two real quality new Playtech casinos open every year. Just a couple of new ones per year would suffice and keep us happy.
Playtech casinos vast library of games
As you might expect, after 17 years of developing casino software titles, Playtech’s library is considerably vast. The company is well-known for its online slot machines games, but they have also developed a staggering array of beautiful and realistic table games, run their own bingo software platform, and are pioneering the future of the online casino world with live dealer casino titles. Given the nature and size of Playtech, players who decide to play at casinos which are powered by them will find no shortage of games at their disposal. Whatever you are looking for, there is a more than reasonable chance that Playtech will have developed something which fits the bill.
Super Playtech slots
Playtech are right at the forefront of slot game development. Virtually every theme you could possibly imagine in the online slot world has been developed by them and transformed into a leading slot. Whether you favour underwater adventure-themed Playtech slots, Irish luck or Chinese-themed games, sports slots, movie and TV licensed slots, or even a touch of fairy tale, magical and mysterious elements to your games, Playtech has you covered.
Playtech slots typically feature good RTP (return to player) rates as can be seen here on this page. Playtech slots RTP, and their graphics are amongst the best in the business. Their games also generally contain between 25 and 50 paylines, although it is not uncommon to see their games go far north of the border in that regards. Playtech slots are also famed for offering considerable prizes (both progressive and non-progressive in stature) as well as dirt cheap bets. They are one of the few major developers to still permit players to really get up close and personal with their bets, by allowing them to adjust almost every aspect of them on a per line, per spin basis, unlike their rivals.
Any slot enthusiast who is after trying some of the biggest and brightest Playtech casino slots would do well to check out titles such as The Mummy, Beach Life, the DC Universe series, Gladiator, the Age of Gods series, Halloween Fortune, and A Night Out.
Playtech Jackpot Slots
Playtech has the biggest selection of progressive jackpots of any slot provider, Playtech Progressive Jackpot Slots are absolutely legendary and include the now defunct Marvel Slots series, the new replacement Age of the Gods slots series and the brilliant DC Comics slots series. No other online slot provider in the world even comes close to these epic game changing jackpots.
Terrific Playtech table games
Playtech provides a full-on online casino gaming experience, and that means that they can offer table games as well as online slots. Playtech’s table games have been designed to look original and to bring the very best aspects of playing poker or spinning the roulette wheel into your very own home. All the major bases have been covered by the casino software provider, so no matter what your poison happens to be, you should find what you’re looking for from this developer.
Adjustable card sizes, multi-window gaming, Asian games (which are rapidly growing in popularity), fixed odds betting games, video poker, and adjustable table stakes are all part and parcel of Playtech’s table games selection. Moreover, their range of table games also includes such oddities as keno, and scratch cards, which you won’t find from every nickel-and-dime software provider.
Amongst the hottest table games that you can play are baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette, and many different variants of those games. Expect to find a flurry of poker titles, too, such as Caribbean Poker, Casino Hold ‘em, Pai Gow, Let Them Ride, Red Dog and Tequila Poker, to name but a few.
Playtech Bingo: Bountiful bingo titles
Playtech is a company which sees an opportunity and grabs the bull by the horns. Right at the start of online bingo’s rapid rise in popularity, Playtech saw such an opportunity with bingo games. They snapped up the Virtue Fusion platform in 2010, and today it is one of the leading bingo platforms not just in the UK (where online bingo is arguably more popular than anywhere else in the world) but across the globe.
With Virtue Fusion Playtech have created an innovative platform and one which is used to deliver bingo content to some of the biggest names in the casino world, not to mention over 20 leading bingo portals across the world. Designed using Java and HTML5, the Virtue Fusion platform is Android and iOS-friendly and features top quality RNGs (random number generators). Many regard the Virtue Fusion system as one of the fairest and most secure bingo networks on the net. The Virtue Fusion platform also sees players able to pocket loyalty points as they wager, boosting the appeal of the network.
More about Playtech Casinos Bingo
As for the games themselves, Playtech have established themselves as one of the leading developers of both 75-ball and 90-ball bingo games with this platform. By being able to offer the internet’s most popular forms of bingo (80-ball bingo is, on occasion, offered, too, as are 30-ball speed bingo games)
Playtech bingo sites usually attract big crowds.
You can find new Playtech casinos on the following page: New Online Casinos
Lively Playtech live dealer games
Live dealer casino games are about as realistic as you’re going to get now. The basic concept of streaming a live feed to your home and one which enables you to interact with a real-to-life dealer in a real brick-and-mortar casino (or studio) is appealing to thousands of players. Playtech picked up on this early. The live dealer concept has proven so popular with players, that Playtech recently spared no expense creating a brand new live dealer studio in Eastern Europe. This, coupled with the ones they already run in Western Europe, gives them the potential to offer live dealer casino titles to players across the globe, with many different titles available.
One of the more popular aspects of Playtech’s live dealer suite are the Asian games. Playtech casinos often attract a big crowd, and the ability to play in Mandarin (Playtech also offers live dealer games in other languages) has its appeal. There is a specific suite of live dealer games for Asian players, simply known as Playtech Asia. The games under their belt include baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and even Sic Bo.
Some of the more popular Playtech live dealer casino games you can play across the globe include Single Zero Roulette, Prestige Roulette Lite, Speed Roulette, Baccarat 7 Seat, Baccarat Squeeze, VIP Baccarat, Mini Baccarat, Blackjack, Ultimate Blackjack, and Casino Hold’em.
Playtech ONE Casino
Playtech ONE is one of the casino software provider’s newest experiments. The basic premise of the Playtech ONE platform is that its users should be entitled to play without restrictions, on any computer, and with any device. That is what the solution aims to deliver. The big question is, though, what is it?
The innovative technology developed by Playtech here enables operators to bring the gap between retail, online and mobile gaming, whilst players can try and full-on selection of games, and not just games from Playtech. You can also find games from some of the other casino software providers which Playtech has acquired (such as Ash Gaming and Quickspin) as well as titles from smaller fledgling developers who have entered into partnership with Playtech to get their games some exposure on this open gaming platform.
The Playtech ONE platform has slowly been rolled out to most major Playtech powered casinos, opening a world of new gaming opportunities for players who happen to play at said casino sites.

The very best Playtech casinos
Rather obviously, one of the leading places where you can find Playtech games to play is a typical Playtech casino. There are over 70 Playtech casinos out there on the net, so you are spoilt for choice, really. Of course, some are better than others, and it is the top Playtech casinos which really attract the biggest crowd, although all these sites contain top quality software from this developer.
The best Playtech casinos will be able to deliver a wealth of quality casino games to players (almost Playtech’s entire library) as well as their selection of table games, live dealer casino games and a handful of their bingo games – if not the entire Virtue Fusion package. Playtech’s casinos are often licensed out of the biggest jurisdictions and can be played in many languages and with numerous currencies. Their casino sites often have a wealth of promotions on offer, can be played as instant play, downloadable (on occasion) or mobile casinos, and feature top of the range security and software. It is not uncommon to find Playtech casinos that are eCOGRA certified casinos for fair play. Other memorable aspects of Playtech casinos include GamCare, GambleAware, Gambling Therapy, and Responsible Gaming Trust certifications at various casinos.
Playtech casinos aren’t just limited to the United Kingdom, either. If you’re looking for a Playtech casino Australia, New Zealand and even Asia-based sites do exist. Just type in “Playtech NZ” into Google, for instance, and you’ll come across a wealth of leading Playtech casinos where you can enjoy a slice of the action.
You can also get to grips with special types of casinos if you do your homework. There are Playtech no deposit casino sites (which specialise in free deposit bonus offers), Playtech mobile casinos, and Playtech live dealer casinos out there. Again, as with everything about this company: whatever you’re looking for, it’s a good bet that Playtech can deliver it.
Other places to play Playtech casino games
Not everybody is a casino player. Some people favour sports betting or bingo gaming. If that happens to be you, then the chances are that a casino site just won’t cut it for you. There are other places where you can get a slice of Playtech action, though, particularly if you happen to be based in the United Kingdom.
Playtech sportsbooks often contain casino games, too, allowing players to get the best of both worlds when they sign up and play there. As well as being able to bet on over 50 different sports betting markets, and thousands of bets within those markets, you are also able to place bets on a cut-down but still sizeable selection of casino games when you choose to play with Playtech sportsbooks.
Playtech bingo sites offer much the same kind of deal. There are over 20 leading Playtech bingo sites in the UK (each running the Virtue Fusion platform), and they can not only offer you bingo games but once again, a cut-down, streamlined and stripped back selection of Playtech’s biggest hits. Sure enough, these bingo sites probably won’t be offering you live dealer casino software, but you could argue that casino sites won’t offer you the full-on bingo experience. It really does depend on what you’re after as a player. Most Playtech powered bingo sites can only be played in English (there are a few exceptions) and bingo web portals powered by Playtech do tend to specialise in players based in the United Kingdom.
If you’re after playing bingo games at leading Playtech online casino powered bingo sites, then why not try your hand at respectable domains such as those which can be found on this website?
Playtech casino Australia – Dinkum Playtech casinos:
With the laws in Australia banning casino gambling, Playtech made the decision to pull out of the country entirely and this still applies in 2018. Much like the USA since 2008, Australia is now a very tricky place but there are still some online casinos which circumvent the laws and accept Australian casino players.
Playtech casinos UK – Best British Playtech casinos:
Despite fierce battles between the UKGC and gambling operators, Playtech has survived the cull and Playtech UK Casinos are still legal and no problem for players. UK Playtech casinos have to adhere to strict rules and laws in order to be approved and regulated.
Playtech casino Nederland – De beste Playtech casinos:
The Dutch gambling authority (KSA) are still trying to work out what to do with their regulations. As such there are currently zero Dutch Playtech casinos you can play at. Things are changing fast though so while a lot of casinos are closing their doors to Dutch players, it is expected that once regulation is in place that those receiving a Netherlands casino license will be free to accept Dutch players and these include Dutch Playtech casinos. Holland casino in fact signed a deal with Playtech a few years ago for their online operation though this will need renegotiating due to the protracted regulations.
Playtech USA – American Playtech casinos:
Since the gambling bill introduced in 2007 there are no USA Playtech casinos which players can safely play at. Things are moving on in the USA though with individual states working on their own laws, regulations and practices so in the future we will see the USA being a far more complicated landscape ut simplified in terms of certain states which have their own regulatory body, in the meantime however there are still plenty of online casinos which accept American players.
Playtech Bulgaria – naĭ-dobroto kazino Playtech:
Bulgarians also have a limited number of casinos they can safely play at due to their stringent regulations. There are therefore very few Playtech casinos Bulgaria and few online casinos in General which fully accept Bulgarian players.
Playtech casino Deutschland – Die besten Playtech casinos Deutsch:
Germany is yet another complicated story with regards to German online casinos. For a long time online casinos in Germany had pretty much a free reign despite there being two regulatory bodies. Recently however they have started to talk a more serious game and full regulation of the Germany casino market looks set to begin. In the meantime however there are still plenty of Playtech casinos Deutsch open to players.
Playtech casino Danmark – Bedste Playtech casino:
Denmark has a very strict and regulated online casino market. Thankfully Playtech is looked upon favourably by the regulators and there are plenty of Playtech casino Denmark as well as some other quality Online Casino Denmark.
Playtech New Zealand – Kiwi Playtech casinos:
With their close neighbours Australia trying to force a blanket ban on online casinos it is probably only a matter of time before New Zealand regulates their online casino market as well. But in the meantime there are plenty of Playtech casinos Kiwi players can visit as well as other acceptable Online Casino NZ.
Playtech casinos Canada – meilleur casino Playtech:
While their neighbours to the south went crazy a decade ago banning online casinos, Canada remained more cautious with their approach to regulating online gambling and thus there are still plenty of Playtech casinos Canada where Canadian players can ply their trade. Most Playtech casinos accept Canadian players and there are plenty of other Online Casino Canada too.
Casino Playtech Italia – miglior casinò di Playtech:
Italy has been at the forefront of casino regulation for many years with the AAMS handing out the licenses and enforcing ISP (Internet Service Provider) bans to online casinos trying to circumvent the rules. As such thee are very few licensed Online Casino Italia though thankfully there are some good Playtech casino Italiano which have made it through and been licensed. Casino Playtech Italiani players should have nothing to fear if they are playing at an AAMS licensed Playtech casino.
Who can play in Playtech casinos?
For starters, US players are not permitted to play in Playtech powered casinos. This stems back to the UIGEA 2006 bill we mentioned earlier, and the same is true of players based in Germany, apart from Schleswig-Holstein.
Generally speaking, players based in the following countries are not going to be able to play at Playtech casinos – Antigua and Barbuda, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Libya, Lithuania, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, Nederland, Netherlands Antilles, Nigeria, North Korea, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, the USA, and Vietnam.
It is important to note that the above list is not definitive (in that it may not apply to all Playtech casinos). Some Playtech casinos are considered legal in countries where other Playtech casinos are not. It all depends on the licensing of each specific casino. Moreover, a casino which is legal in a country may not be directly powered by Playtech but may be able to offer some of their games via an open gaming platform.
Playtech Casino Bonuses:
Bountiful casino bonuses can be yours with Playtech too
Playtech casinos are famed for their casino bonuses so those of you looking for a Playtech casinos no deposit bonus would hope to be set up ok. Almost all major Playtech powered online casinos will be able to offer their players a welcome bonus though long gone are the days of the Playtech no deposit bonus thanks mainly to the UKGC. This bonus is offered to new players at a Playtech casino when they make their very first deposit and may be spread over the first several deposits a new player makes. A no deposit bonus can also be commonly found at such sites, and this is usually offered for free (with the chance to win real money) so that you can get a taste for a Playtech casino before you wager your hard-earned cash there.
Playtech casinos aren’t just limited to welcome bonus offers, though. Regular prize draws, competitions, tournaments, further deposit bonuses, alternative payment method bonuses, refer-a-friend bonuses, daily, weekly or monthly specials, as well as loyalty bonuses (such as a VIP program, free cash and free spins), are regularly offered by Playtech casinos. Players will also find an equally as impressive selection of sports and bingo-related bonuses at those specific Playtech domains. Table games are not left out, either, with most major Playtech casinos offering some form of table games bonuses.
Playtech wagering requirements are not rigid. This means that each Playtech casino tends to alter the wagering requirements for their own bonuses and promotions as they see fit. This increases competition and naturally makes some Playtech casinos better than others. It is not uncommon to see wagering requirements of 20x up to 40x in Playtech casinos. As you might expect, sportsbooks and bingo sites tend to have their own separate set of wagering requirements for the promos and bonuses that they offer.
As for promo bonus codes (codes which you must enter to claim an offer) they can commonly be found at Playtech casinos. If you do require a promotional bonus code to claim an offer, though; most Playtech gambling sites carry them on the same page as the offer, so they are readily accessible to you.
Playtech no deposit bonus:
Due to the ongoing battles between Playtech casinos and government regulators most Playtech no deposit bonuses have been removed from reputable Playtech casinos. You could find a great many when searching for Playtech no deposit bonus 2017 but sadly this year when looking for a Playtech no deposit bonus 2018 you are going to be coming up well short. Playtech no deposit casinos are in short supply these days and we strongly advixse you only stick to the approved and respected Playtech casinos listed on this site.
Compatibility and customisability
As one of the big three casino software developers (alongside NetEnt and Microgaming) Playtech must excel to fight off the competition and maintain global appeal. One of the ways they do this is by being very versatile. Playtech gambling websites are all about compatibility and customisability.
Playtech gaming portals offer their software in multiple languages. This doesn’t just mean the pages and customer support, but also the in-game languages. English, Italian, Russian, Romanian, Mandarin and Spanish do seem to be the most popular languages, but it is common to find over 20 major languages offered at the biggest Playtech casinos and betting sites. As well as languages, most major currencies are also accepted by Playtech casinos, and these include UK pound sterling, US dollars, euros, Swedish krona, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand dollars, South African rand, and more.
To go alongside those currencies, Playtech casinos offer one of the most extensive lists of payment methods on the net. You can regularly find all major credit cards (especially VISA and MasterCard) accepted, as well as major e-wallets, such as Skrill, PayPal (in the UK), and Neteller. Wire transfers, bank transfers, prepaid cards, and even cheques are accepted at most major sites. Playtech is no slouch when it comes to withdrawal methods, either. A sizeable array of options is presented to players at those casinos and websites, and most of those do not charge a fee for withdrawals – although, admittedly, this isn’t true of every site and varies on a casino to casino basis.
Compatibility also means being able to offer gaming over a variety of platforms. Playtech’s software is mobile-friendly (for most Android, iOS and Windows-powered devices) and – in some cases – can even be downloaded. Downloaded Playtech software usually has a vaster gaming library than their instant play websites.
Playtech is a brand you can trust
No casino software provider gets away scot-free. All have had their own issues in the past. Most of Playtech’s issues are not of their own making. A few rogue and Blacklisted Playtech Casinos have pirated Playtech games and robbed people blind by refusing to pay out winnings or issuing bogus bonuses. However, these sites did not obtain Playtech’s games legally, had no right to offer them, and were not licensed. Because of that, nobody holds the actions of these scam sites against Playtech, and similar problems have been reported by other software developers, too, including, most recently, Net Entertainment.
There have been other issues with affiliates not being paid (due to a few casinos going bankrupt) and some Playtech powered casinos have had their wrists slapped for overly harsh wagering requirements and withdrawal fees. Playtech cannot be held to account for any of these issues, though, where the blame rests solely with the operators in charge. Playtech directly owns very few casinos, and those it does own are regarded as amongst the finest on the net, so none of those issues should reflect badly on the company.
Genuine Playtech casinos are always licensed. If you find an online casino which offers Playtech games but does not feature a license, then the chances are that those games have been pirated, and you should avoid them at all costs.
Generally speaking, Playtech casinos are licensed (and thus fully legal) by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), UK Gambling Commission, Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, Gibraltar Regulatory Authority, AAMS (Italy), Alderney Gambling Control Commission, Antigua Online Gaming Association, Cagayan Economic Zone Authority, Curacao, the Danish Gambling Authority, the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, Kahnawake Gaming Commission, and the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling, in Spain.
Playtech is a name you can trust. In their many years at the very top of the online casino software industry, they have amassed a huge following. Their casinos are regularly audited and independently tested for fair play. Most of their casinos hold certificates showcasing that they trusted and well-respected websites, and their games are independently tested to ensure that the RNGs (random number generators) and payouts are fair and above board.
Players should not have to worry about playing at a genuine Playtech website, whether it is bingo, sports betting or casino-related. Most major Playtech gambling portals are well documented, so you can learn everything there is to know about them, long before you decide to wager your own cash on their games. You simply just don’t get to the top of the pyramid and stay there if you’re a dodgy developer of casino software, as many smaller software developers have found out.
The future of Playtech
In their time at the top, Playtech have faced challenges, dare we say crises from time to time. They have always come out on top, and better than they were when they went into it. The closure of the US market saw Playtech diversify. The closure of the German and other European markets saw them branch out into new pastures. The ending of their license for Marvel games was supposed to be the death blow for Playtech. They rallied and acquired the DC one instead. Playtech has come through many battles and barely has a scratch on them. So, what does the future have in store for one of the internet’s leading casino software providers?
Given their rapid expansion, and their record revenues (most recently, they announced a €700m haul, as mentioned earlier), there is plenty of life in this company yet. Playtech’s live dealer games are growing in popularity, and although the online bingo industry has taken a dip, and the sports betting world is under threat from UK Government gambling law changes, none of that has impacted Playtech at all. Mobile betting is on the rise, and Playtech is at the forefront of that industry, too.
The launch of the Playtech ONE platform changes the game. Now, more and more players from across the globe are getting access to Playtech’s slot machines and table games. Not just that, with the Playtech ONE platform, Playtech is building bridges with smaller-scale companies, setting themselves up not just as a developer of online casino games, but also as a facilitator of them, much like their fierce rivals, Microgaming have done their Quickfire platform.
Playtech will continue to grow, just as they always have. Their devotion to breaking the mould and bringing new games to the forefront (including attracting major brands such as the DC Universe) showcases what a great future this casino software provider has.
Playtech Slots Information:
Playtech’s slot machines are amongst the most popular in the online casino world. As one of the big three leading casino software providers, Playtech can provide slots of seemingly every kind of slot. Over the course of this article, we will dive into Playtech slots, and look at what makes them so great, and what they can offer you as a player at an online casino site.
Common themes and genres in Playtech slots
The types of themes you can expect to find in a typical Playtech powered slot machine are numerous – beyond measure, really. For starters, Playtech slot machine games span classic slot, video slot, mobile slot and 3D slot genres. Their games include themes which pertain to Irish luck, movie franchises, Ancient Egypt, superheroes, oceanic life and everything in-between. With such a vast arsenal and library under their wing, there is nothing you can’t find from Playtech in terms of slot themes and genres.
How many lines and what kinds of bets are we talking about?
Well, that all depends on the game you play. Unlike smaller-scale, middling casino software providers, Playtech does haven’t a set agenda when it comes to paylines. There are Playtech slots out there which features 243 ways to win, and slots which have 25-50 paylines. Few Playtech slots are petite enough to have less than 20 lines (although their classic slots obviously do), but a good range of paylines for a Playtech slot is between 25 and 50 lines. Naturally, the amount you can wager varies depending on the number of lines your chosen Playtech slot offers, but typically, Playtech is one of the more flexible casino software developers when it comes to games – so wagers typically stretch from 1p per line per spin upwards to several thousand pounds per spin.
Progressive or non-progressive?
Both progressive and non-progressive slot machines have been developed by Playtech. The non-progressive games have wildly different jackpot prizes, whilst the progressive one comes in two formats.
Firstly, there are the networked progressive jackpot games, and these typically have several progressive jackpots spread over several slots, all of which are won at random. The other types of progressive jackpot slots developed by Playtech are standalones, and these can be won at random, by landing symbols on paylines, or via bonus rounds.
Playtech slot prizes
Whilst Playtech’s progressive jackpot slots typically carry progressive prizes which range from a tenner up to several hundred thousand pounds (on occasion, even several million pounds), most of their non-progressive jackpot slots typically cough up wins which range from 1,000 coins up to 100,000 coins. Of course, how much those non-progressives are worth in real money really depends on what your coins are worth – in short, what you have wagered per line and per spin.
Wild and scatters
Most of the best Playtech slots contain wilds and scatters. There are several types of wild symbols which can appear in Playtech slots, including but not limited to expanding wilds, sticky wilds, frozen wilds, multiplier wilds, walking wilds and random wilds. Wilds may or may not form the best-paying combos in the game, but often do.
Scatter icons are usually used to deliver bonus features in Playtech slots, and these symbols will generally deliver a scattered cash prize when 3 or more appear on the reels, too. Some Playtech games only carry 3 scatters on the reels, and others carry them on all 5 reels of the game.
Randomly triggered bonuses
Not as common as you might find in NetEnt or Microgaming developed slots, randomly triggered bonuses do still occur in some Playtech slot machine games. Of course, the most commonly found randomly triggered bonuses are the progressive jackpot prizes themselves. These will be won via randomly triggered bonus features.
Some Playtech slot machine games carry base game modifiers, too. These petite features can provide wins, multipliers, symbol shuffles bonuses, wilds or other ways to boost a non-winning spin and turn it into a potentially winning one. Most base game modifiers (where they appear in Playtech slots) are triggered at random.
Instant win bonuses
Triggered via either bonus icons or scatter symbols, there are many Playtech slots which come with instant win bonuses. Also known as mini-games, these bonuses usually need players to land a specific number of bonus symbols/scatters on the reels to activate them. They can cover everything and anything.
Once one of these bonuses is triggered, players will be able to pocket small to sizeable instant win prizes with these bonuses. Sometimes they may be required to click on specific objects to win prizes, perhaps even spin a money wheel to bag cash, and at other times the mini-game will be totally out of their hand with random wins delivered to players.
Fun-filled free spins
Almost all the leading Playtech developed slots come with a free spin bonus round. Nine out of ten times, you’re going to need to land scatter icons or bonus symbols on the reels to activate this bonus round. Free spins bonuses can usually be retriggered in Playtech slots (by landing more scatters and bonuses on the reels) and it is rare that Playtech free spin bonuses come without any added perks.
Some of the additional features that players can expect to find in most major Playtech slot free spin bonuses include multipliers on every win you pocket, special wild symbols, increasing multipliers, cascading reels/avalanche reels, and randomly triggered bonuses which can alter the outcome of your free spin in some way or another.

Where can I play the best Playtech slots?
Provided you are playing in one of the countries where Playtech Casinos offer its games, you won’t be short of places to play. The online casino software giant’s games can be found across the net, particularly at leading online casinos in the United Kingdom. But it isn’t just casinos which offer Playtech games, though. You can also find their games in sportsbooks, bingo sites and even poker rooms. If they carry the Playtech logo, it is a fair bet that a casino will have an ample selection of Playtech games for you to choose from.

Playtech Progressive Jackpot Slots
Playtech has a long and proud history of being able to deliver quality progressive jackpot slot machines and games to online casino players. At any given time, there are around 30 major progressive jackpot slots housed at Playtech powered casinos, and most of these offer very different progressive jackpot cash prizes.
When the Marvel slots were discontinued, and the Pink Panther and Monty Python: Spamalot progressive jackpot slots were ended, everybody thought that would be it for Playtech. Nonsense. If anything, they have redoubled their efforts to ensure that Playtech progressives are right up there with the best of them. Sure, we miss Spamalot, too, but there are still plenty of quality progressive jackpot slots out there from Playtech to turn you into a multi-millionaire overnight.
Whilst the total list if far too numerous for us to get into too much detail, we can focus on some of the more popular Playtech progressives and give you the run-down on them. If you want to try your hand at some of the best progressive jackpot slots on the net, you can’t go wrong with any of these Playtech titles.
Age of Gods slots
Designed as a replacement for the now defunct Marvel Mystery Progressive Jackpot Network games, the Age of Gods series have been supplanted by Playtech’s new DC Superhero slots in terms of the thematic successors. However, in terms of features, these Greek mythology-themed games have all the same special bonuses and gameplay options as their Marvel predecessors.
Part of the similarity between the Age of Gods series (which currently numbers 7 slots and 1 progressive roulette game) is the jackpot network. Four randomly triggered progressive jackpots are there to be won (with the same names as the Marvel slots, such as Power and Ultimate Power). When a jackpot is triggered, players can select from a grid of symbols to win progressive prizes which have been worth as much as €972,723 in the past.
Beach Life
Beach Life is one of the oldest progressive jackpot slots developed by Playtech, and it is still going strong. This slot no looks rather primitive, with its day at the beach theme somewhat cheesy. It still attracts a massive crowd, though, even if its progressive is notoriously difficult to win. You need to wager the maximum amount and land jackpot icons on a single specific payline – no small feat, right? On the upside, the biggest win ever recorded on this Playtech progressive is €6.2m, which is not to be sniffed at.
DC Superhero slots
Designed as the true successors to the Marvel slots, the DC Superhero slots come with an almost identical progressive jackpot network to their Marvel ancestors. There has been a slight spot of renaming going on here, with the jackpots taking on the titles such as Grand, Major and Minor, but the way that they are randomly triggered and won essentially remains the same.
These jackpots have already paid out prizes worth as much as €1.2m, despite them being less than a year old. Several Batman and Superman-themed slots can already be played, with many more in the pipeline. The only real difference between these slots and their Marvel predecessors is that these games contain wholly new special features – unlike the Age of Gods series.
Dollar Ball slots
We know what you’re thinking. The Dollar Ball slots are still going? Actually…yes, they are. For anyone not in the know, Dollar Ball slots were the first Playtech progressives to launch. So-called because they required players to wager $1 side-bets in order to stand a chance of winning, players were required to match 5 lottery numbers with those on a scrollbar. Your chances of success were minimal, and you could place the side-bet without actually spinning the reels of the slot, too.
Funnily enough, Dollar Ball slots are still going, and so is the progressive jackpot network which hosts them. It is rare that they draw a crowd, especially since the average win is €50,000, and wins have never been more than €100,000. Still, if you fancy a blast from the past, Dollar Ball slots are still available for you to play.
Everybody’s Jackpot
Everybody’s Jackpot is a communal jackpot slot from Playtech. The game was designed like a gameshow and featured a jackpot which when won, would be partially shared amongst other players. Naturally, the player who struck the jackpot prize would win the lion’s share. However, if you happened to have wagered a lot during the week the jackpot prize was won or happened to be playing any kind of wager at the moment when the jackpot was pocketed, you would walk away with a share of the spoils for yourself.
Everybody’s Jackpot can still be played, and its progressive prize typically sits at around €200,000. In the past, players have managed to land wins worth almost half-a-million notes on the game (the biggest win to date is €522,064) and the fact that you don’t have to be playing it to win a share makes it appealing even now.
Gladiator
Gladiator was originally a non-progressive jackpot slot. Then, it proved so popular that Playtech decided to make a Gladiator Jackpot version. Predictably, the jackpot version is far more popular than its non-progressive sister slot (which is amongst the most played slots online in its own right). The way the jackpot is won is the same as the non-progressive is won in the standard edition. Players need to trigger the helmet bonus and match up gold helmets to walk away with the biggest progressive prize.
Based on the 2000 Ridley Scott film of the same name, which starred Russell Crowe as general-turned-gladiator Maximus (who is oddly missing from this game), the Gladiator Jackpot slot has paid out prizes worth €2.3m in the past, and regularly delivers progressive prizes worth over one million notes to its winners on average.
Of course, there are countless other Playtech slots out there, too, so if none of these floats your boat, feel free to try your hand at other amazing Playtech progressive jackpot slots.

Playtech Age of the Gods Slots – Progressive Jackpot Slot Series
Playtech’s Age of the Gods slots: Few casinos software providers have captured the Ancient Greek mythology theme quite like Playtech. Their Age of the Gods series currently offers up 9 slot titles (Age of the Gods Medusa & Monsters has just been released), each covering a unique and exciting aspect of Greek mythology. But what are these games, and why are they so playable and entertaining? It is time we put Playtech’s Age of the Gods series under the microscope.
The original replacement to Playtech’s Marvel series
When Playtech first toyed with the idea of a Greek mythology series, they were looking the series replacing the then soon-to-be defunct Marvel progressive jackpot slots series that had proven so popular for them in the past. Eager to keep their progressive jackpot network going (albeit under a new name with a new theme), this was a good plan. It didn’t work out, though. Why not?
Almost as soon as the Age of the Gods slots picked up traction, Playtech managed to snap up the DC license from Microgaming. This brought an end to top Microgaming slots such as The Dark Knight and paved the way for Playtech to continue to developer superhero themed slots. This did not mean the end of the Age of the Gods series, but newly developed DC Universe slots would end up being the true heir to the Marvel slots series.
Despite DC Universe slots now being considered the successor to Marvel slots, they are quite different from those original Marvel titles. In fact, it is the Age of the Gods series of slots which shares many of the same features as its Marvel predecessors.
As well as similar feature, they also contain an identical progressive jackpot system as their predecessors. DC Universe slots may be the successors to Marvel slots in terms of theme, but when it comes to features, it is the Age of the Gods series of slots which offer a continuation of the much-loved style of gameplay which made Marvel slots so appealing.

The Age of the Gods slots series
At present (barring any future releases) Playtech has developed and released a total of 8 slots in the Age of the Gods series. The original and plainly titled Age of the Gods is the most popular of the eight games, but other slots spin off in different directions, each with its own take on Greek mythology. Let’s look at each briefly…
Age of the Gods
The original Age of the Gods slot is played over 5 reels and 20 paylines. It stars Athena, Hercules, Poseidon and Zeus. Like the other slots in the series, it offers four randomly triggered progressives, with wagers ranging from 20p up to £250. A Pantheon of Power on Reels bonus can see players pocket instant cash prizes, but each god also delivers their own free spin feature, with goodies ranging from increasing multipliers and random multipliers to random wilds and stacked wilds.
Age of the Gods: Fate Sisters
The Fate Sisters slot has 5 extra paylines, taking the total up to 25, this its minimum stake is slightly costlier than the original game. It too has 4 progressives, and its theme is centred on Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos – the three fates (Moirai). A Fates Portal Free Games bonus is the highlight in this game, with each sister offering you their own bonus features, and you are free to choose which one you want.
Age of the Gods: Furious 4
Furious 4 sees the number of lines return to 20 in total, with the slot choosing to focus on Apollo, Atlas, Pandora and Prometheus – some of the more famous gods in Greek mythology. This time, the free spin bonus uniformly offers you 12 free games, but each god brings its own bonuses to the table, such as expanding wilds (Apollo), multipliers (Pandora), locked wilds (Prometheus) and frozen wilds (Atlas).
Age of the Gods: Goddess of Wisdom
Goddess of Wisdom is based on Athena and continues the 5-reel, 20-line, progressive style of gameplay. The Battle Game feature is the highlight here, with the Gorgoneion offering 10 spins, the helmet offering 7 spins and 4x multipliers, and the armour bonus offering 14 spins with 2x multipliers. Wilds expand in all bonus rounds.
Age of the Gods: King of Olympus
Zeus, Pegasus and Aetos Dios are the stars of the King of Olympus entry, which reintroduces the 25-line format. Originally, the game was going to be called Zeus, but WMS Gaming owns that copyright, so King of Olympus it is. The slot offers 3 free spin bonuses, with frozen/locked wilds, and multipliers to boost your chances of winning. Playtech’s new Turbo Mode debuts in this slot, too, for those who fancy fast gameplay.
Age of the Gods: Prince of Olympus
Prince of Olympus offers 25 lines and 4 massive bonuses. Hercules can take on the Hydra here in an instant win fight, whilst randomly triggered Hercules Rage bonuses (similar to the Hulk Smash feature from the Marvel slots) can boost your wins. A free spin bonus with multipliers and expanding/locked wilds also play their part.
Age of the Gods: Roulette
Okay, it’s not a slot, but roulette fans can also get in on the action with Age of the Gods: Roulette. This is actually a progressive roulette game and is the very first Playtech ONE live dealer casino game to appear. The progressives are available on the roulette reel, and there are four of those to be had in this spin-off from the main series.
Age of the Gods: God of Storms
God of Storms is based on Aeolus. The highlight here is the Wild Wind Re-spins feature, which offers re-spins with shifting stacked wild symbols and increasing multipliers on your winnings. This is one of the newest of the Age of the Gods slots you can play.
Age of the Gods: Medusa & Monsters
Age of the Gods Medusa & Monsters RTP = 96.09%
Where can I play Age of the Gods slots?
Virtually all major Playtech powered casino sites, or casinos offering Playtech software carry the Age of the Gods series. You can find them across the net. Don’t think that the DC Universe license means the end of the Age of the Gods series, either. With Egypt and Norse mythology continually muted as side-projects for Playtech, there’s a lot of life left in the Age of the Gods series yet.
Age of the Gods Jackpot
This game is linked to the Age of the Gods Jackpot, which shares the same pot as the Marvel Jackpot.
The Age of the Gods Jackpot is a multi-level mystery progressive jackpot that is linked to the Age of the Gods series of games. A small percentage of each bet placed in any of the Age of the Gods games is added to the progressive jackpot. The percentage of all bets placed is split between four jackpot levels, which are displayed in the upper part of the game screen, above the reels.
Any level of the Age of the Gods Jackpot can be won through the jackpot game, which can be triggered randomly after any main game spin in any of the Age of the Gods series of games. It is not triggered by any symbol combination, and even a main game spin that does not result in a win can trigger the jackpot game. Triggering the jackpot game is possible at any bet size, but the chances increase or decrease proportionally with the size of the bet.
Entering the jackpot game guarantees a win of one of the four jackpots: Power Jackpot, Extra Power Jackpot, Super Power Jackpot and Ultimate Power Jackpot. The four different jackpot levels represent different prize amounts, with the Power Jackpot awarding the smallest prize and the Ultimate Power Jackpot awarding the highest.
The jackpot game screen shows 20 face down coins. Clicking on a coin will reveal one of four jackpot symbols. Each jackpot symbol corresponds to one of the four progressive jackpots. Once three matching symbols have been revealed, the corresponding jackpot level will be awarded. The jackpot winnings are added to the main game winnings (if any) and are displayed in the Win field together with any other winnings.
The Age of the Gods Jackpot game has a timeout timer. If a matching set of coins is not revealed by the player before the set amount of time elapses, coins will be revealed automatically and the corresponding jackpot will be awarded.
The Jackpot for this game works like this:
Seed (how much money the Jackpots start out with): Power: €50
Extra Power: €500
Super Power: €5,000
Ultimate Power: €100,000
Contribution rate (what percentage of each bet goes into Jackpot): 0.99%
Win condition (the result you have to get to win the Jackpot): Entering the jackpot game guarantees a win. Match 3 jackpot symbols of the corresponding Jackpot or wait for the timer to run out.
Win requirements (what you need to do to be eligible for the Jackpot): Play a game linked to the Age of the Gods Jackpot.
Please note:
The seed and Jackpot values are in Euros in the progressive network and their value in your local currency is dependent on the currency exchange rate.
The mechanics of Age of the Gods Jackpot prohibit simultaneous jackpot winnings.
Imperfections in the Internet connectivity may cause you to experience delays in Jackpot messages or updates, but they do not affect actual Jackpot wins.
Return to Player
The minimum theoretical return to player (RTP) percentage is 94.03% and the maximum theoretical return to player (RTP) percentage that includes the Jackpot contribution is 95.02%.

Playtech’s DC Comics Slots
When Playtech lost the ability to offer Marvel-themed slot machine games, the online casino world started to panic. What would we do without our dose of superhero-themed slot machines? Not to worry, we still had Microgaming’s Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises, right? Wrong. In no time at all, Playtech snapped up the licensed DC Comics Slots from Warner Bros, thus ending both Microgaming and Playtech’s golden age of superhero-themed slots and the great games that formed them in one fell swoop and ushered in the all new DC Comics era of superhero slots.
Of course, since then, Playtech has been hard at work, making sure that they are once again on top of their game when it comes to superhero slots. In fact, in a little under a year, they have amassed a positively huge collection of games, all linked to the DC Comics Slots Universe. With several Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman slots under their belt already, now they are starting to experiment with other DC hero-themed slots. Whilst we may have wanted to do be too critical at first, a suitable amount of time has now passed to warrant a closer look at these DC Comics slots.

Let’s start with the Dark Knight, shall we?
The Batman series
The Caped Crusader has already been the star of 5 Playtech developed DC Comics slots thus far, and there are more to come. Rather than just focus on Batman, each of these slot machine games contains elements of his nemesis and rivals, as well as unique and creative special features.
Batman and Catwoman Cash, for instance, offers up a healthy dose of Catwoman, whilst Batgirl Bonanza, and Mr Freeze Fortune focus on some of the other, less-popular characters in the series. Of course, if you want the top dogs, you can always try your hand at Batman & The Joker Jewels, and Batman & The Riddler Riches. This series of slots are all based on the 1960s Batman, not the modern-day take on the Dark Knight.
Speaking of The Dark Knight, Playtech are also hard at work developing a new set of games to replace Microgaming’s top titles (which are now defunct). There is no ETA on those games yet, but previews have been showcased, and they could very well be better than the originals.
The types of special features you can pocket in the Batman series of Playtech slots vary wildly. Some offer instant win cash prizes, and others can deliver free spins galore. Numerous wilds offer special features in the games, with each slot typically carrying at least 2 bonus features for players to enjoy. It won’t come as a surprise to learn that all these Batman slots are also a part of the DC Universe progressive jackpot network, which can see players win one of four randomly triggered progressive prizes, much in the same begin as their Marvel Mystery Progressive Jackpot Network predecessors.
On an interesting side note; many people thought that the DC Universe slots would simply contain the same features as their Marvel forebears, but those features wound their way into the Age of Gods series. These DC comics slots beauties, then, have all new features, many of which are far better than those which appeared in the old Marvel slots.
Superman slots
Superman is currently at the height of his popularity. It only seems right that Playtech DC Comics Slots also developed slot machines based on the Man of Steel movie. Funnily enough, though, this was not the first Superman-themed slot machine game to launch. Before that, slots based on the Superman and Superman II films were unveiled which starred Christopher Reeve as the man from Krypton. Just like with the upcoming Batman slots, you are going to be able to get a tasty dose of your favourite superhero, with your choice of Christopher Reeve or Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel.
The first game (based on the 1978) film offers 100 paylines over 5 reels, as well as Save the Day free spin features with locking wilds and costs a hefty 60p a game. The sequel (based on the 1980 film) is much more standardised, with just 25 lines spread over 5 reels. It does offer a 2×2 wild, unlimited free spins (in a fashion) and a Battle for Metropolis feature which offers big money instant win prizes. As for the Man of Steel slot, that has 4 amazing bonus feature which you can trigger, with several free spin bonuses, various wild symbols, and both 25 or 50 payline gameplay up for grabs. As usual, the progressive jackpot network is intact with this game.
Justice League
The most recent slot to debut from Playtech in the DC Universe series is the Justice League. Featuring Batman, Aquaman, Cyborg, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Superman, this game has it all. There’s plenty of re-spin features, various wilds, and of course, the quadruple progressive jackpots which are available on the DC Heroes progressive jackpot network. Reminiscent of Playtech’s old Avengers slot, this is the slot for players who just can’t decide which slot works best for them.
The future of DC Comics slots

There are plenty of further DC Comic Slots in the pipeline for those fans who want them. For starters, Playtech has recently unveiled a Batman vs. Superman-themed slot machine game (based on the movie of the same name), and although not as action-packed in terms of characters as the Justice League game, it is brimming over with quality features.
Wonder Woman is also set to be the star of her very own slot and knowing the way Playtech have gone about other heroes, don’t be surprised if we get games based on both the 1960s and 2017 Wonder Woman series. Also keep your eyes peeled for slots based on Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman. Since they have starred in the Justice League film, it seems pretty inevitable that Playtech will travel down this route, too.
It seems obvious that Playtech is set to restore the former glory of their Marvel slot series, albeit with DC superheroes at the helm. Despite initial reservations about whether they could do it, it has to be said – Playtech’s DC Comics slots are on the top of their game.
DC SUPER HEROES JACKPOT INFO

The DC Super Heroes Jackpot game has a timeout timer (30 seconds). If all the energy balls required for a jackpot are not revealed before the timer finishes then a jackpot is awarded automatically. Playtech Marvel Slots – Discontinued Marvel Superheroes Slots Series
Playtech’s Marvel Slots
One of the greatest disasters to shake the online casino world occurred just last year, when Playtech’s popular Marvel slots disappeared from the online casino world. Ever since they first launched in 2009, Playtech’s Marvel slots were the envy of the casino world. The Marvel Mystery Progressive Jackpot Network on which they run produced countless winners and the games were regarded as having some of the most original special features in the online casino world. What on Earth happened to them?
What happened to the Marvel series of slots?
If you want to point the finger at anyone for the discontinuation of the Marvel series of slots, point that finger at Disney. Just like they are doing today (much to many peoples’ frustration) Disney saw Marvel as an opportunity to make a buck, and they bought the company. Naturally, Disney couldn’t possibly be seen to have anything to do with the gambling industry, so when Playtech’s license expired in March 2017, there was never going to be any way that Disney were going to renew it.
Like Cryptologic before them, without a license to offer their superhero-themed games, Playtech were forced to remove their titles with Marvel heroes. Whilst you can no longer play these games, various elements of them do live on. Most of the features which appeared in the Marvel slots were reused (and in some cases, simply rebranded) in the Age of Gods series, whilst if superhero themed slots are your forte, Playtech acquire the DC Universe license from under Microgaming’s nose by doing a deal with Warner Bros. This means that Playtech now offers DC Comic slots.
The Marvel slot series was – at the time – the most successful series of online slots ever. It certainly warrants preservation in the annals of great online casino games, so let’s take a trip down memory lane.

Blade
More cartoony than other Marvel slots would turn out to be, Blade was poorly designed in comparison to its sister slots, features 20 paylines and offers a free spin bonus which dished out increasing multipliers.
Captain America: The First Avenger
Playtech’s Captain America was one of the final games to be unveiled in this Marvel slots series. It contained a free spin bonus which allowed players to select from various picks to enhance their round, including multipliers, super spins, and retriggers.
Daredevil
Daredevil was a far simpler Marvel slot than most of its counterparts. It offered 20 paylines and a free spin bonus which offered random wilds on each spin. A Bullseye instant win feature could triple your winnings, too.
Elektra
Probably the worst of the lot in terms of graphics, Elektra was also one of the earliest in this series. It allowed players to choose from 3 free spin bonuses – 10 spins, 14 spins with 2x multipliers, or 7 spins with 4x multipliers) and had a woeful RTP rate of 94.94%.
Fantastic 4
The first big Marvel slot to be launched, Fantastic 4 offered a wealth of bonus features, one for each hero. They included expanding wilds, increasing multipliers, extra wilds and frozen wilds, and the slot was played over a whopping 50 lines.
Ghost Rider
This groovy slot introduced us to the holding reels feature. Every time a motorcycle landed on the reels, the reels were set on fire. Set them on all fire, and you could enjoy a mini-game where you shot ghosts to win prizes. The free spin bonus featured expanding wilds and 3x multipliers.
Iron Man Series
There were 3 Iron Man slots in this series. The first had simple graphics, but multiple wilds, and free spin and instant win features. For the second, stacked symbols came into place, and the game could be played over 25 or 50 lines. The final game offered players a host of options, such as random wilds, multipliers and other goodies in an action-packed free spin bonus.
Spider-Man: Attack of the Green Goblin
Spider-Man will most fondly be remembered for its comic book bonus and randomly triggered goodies. Spider-Man could drop down to offer winnings, whilst the comic book bonus carried several instant win and free spin bonuses, all triggered via a scrolling comic book bar.
The Avengers
This game offered a hefty 5 bonus features over its 20 lines, and the Wall of Heroes Bonus feature allowed you to choose from 4 free spin bonuses. Starring the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Nicky Fury, this was the quintessential comic book slot.
The Incredible Hulk
Most players will remember the Hulk Smash feature on this game. Destroying helicopters and cop cars brought mighty rewards, but there was also a generous free spin feature, and randomly triggered bonuses to be had in this slot, which could be played over 25 or 50 lines.
Thor: The Mighty Avenger
Jumping between worlds brought bountiful bonuses in the Thor slot. Pretty much the final Marvel slot to be released, Thor features 3 modes (2 of which were free spin bonuses) and wild multipliers to boot. Lightning Free Spins would see Mjölnir slap wilds and re-spins about the place, as randomly triggered bonuses did the rest.
X-Men
The icing on the cake was Playtech’s X-Men slot. This game had it all and was the most popular of the series. First up, the 5-reel, and 25 and 50-line slots carried The X Feature, which saw players win 5x their total bet if they landed 5 heroes in an X formation. Them there was the Heroes and Villains Bonus, which we lived for. This could see players enjoy unlimited free spins for a time, whilst switching between Hero and Villain modes. Of course, your luck ran out eventually, but not before you’d made a killing.
The End… well, kind of…
Disney really did a number on us with the collapse of the Marvel slots. However, if you long for the features that Marvel slots carried, the Age of Gods series can bring them right back to you. If you long for superhero action, try out DC Universe slots from Playtech. It’ll never be exactly the same, but at least these Marvel slots – some of the greatest online slots of all time –  aren’t totally resigned to casino scrap books just yet.

Marvel Mystery Jackpot
Marvel Mystery Jackpot is a multi-level progressive jackpot game that is available in all Marvel games and is linked to all Marvel games. A small percentage of each bet in the Marvel games, by every person playing this game in each of many online casinos, is added to the progressive jackpot.
The trigger that starts the Jackpot game is random and can occur after any spin in any of the linked games. It is not caused by any symbol combination in the linked games and even a spin that does not win anything in the main game can trigger the Jackpot game. Likewise, any bet with any size in the linked games can trigger the Jackpot game. Nonetheless, the chances of triggering the Jackpot game increase or decrease proportionally to the bet size. Entering the Jackpot game guarantees a win of one of the four jackpots. Playing the Jackpot game reveals the jackpot that has been awarded to you, but does not determine it.
There are four different levels of jackpots that you can win: Power Jackpot, Extra Power Jackpot, Super Power Jackpot and Ultimate Power Jackpot. Different types of jackpots hold different prize amounts. The jackpot gamescreen contains 20 squares which in the beginning of the gameplay are turned upside down. Clicking on a square will turn it around and reveal one of four jackpot symbols on the other side. Once you have found three matching symbols, you win the jackpot that corresponds to these symbols. Jackpot winnings are added to the main game winnings (if any) and are displayed in the Win field together with any other winnings.
The Marvel Mystery Jackpot game has a timeout timer. This means that if you do not pick a square in a set amount of time, you will automatically receive your prize.
The Jackpot for this game works like this:

Seed (how much money the Jackpots start out with):
Power: €50
Extra Power: €500
Super Power: €5,000
Ultimate Power: €100,000

Contribution rate (what percentage of each bet goes into Jackpot):
0.99%

Win condition (the result you have to get to win the Jackpot):
Entering the jackpot game guarantees a win. Match 3 jackpot symbols of the corresponding Jackpot or wait for the timer to run out.

Win requirements (what you need to do to be eligible for the Jackpot):
Play a Marvel game.

Please note:

The seed and Jackpot values are in Euros in the progressive network and their value in your local currency is dependent on the currency exchange rate.
The mechanics of Marvel Mystery Jackpot prohibit simultaneous jackpot winnings.
Imperfections in the Internet connectivity may cause you to experience delays in Jackpot messages or updates, but they do not affect actual Jackpot wins.

Return to Player

Note: The three wild symbols pay 1000 x line bet only if you play for max bet. Otherwise they only pay 250 x line bet.
Please note: There is a difference between the line bet and the total bet. The line bet shows how much you’re betting on a single payline. Blacklisted Playtech Casinos
There are some wonderful Playtech Casinos we have listed on our website but sadly there are more bad than good ones. We will be detailing the bad playtech casinos on this page so you know who to avoid! We have listed a number of high profile casinos in our black list like 888, William Hill, Ladbrokes, Coral and Gala for example who you would think would be honourable considering the size of their respective companies but sadly these companies are awash with player complaints against them. Then there is the SuperCasino group who joined a worrying trend in changing jackpot pay outs to be spread over little monthly chunks meaning a £1 million jackpot could take decades to pay out fully and in the meantime the interest earned on the money goes to the casinos and of course if the casino decided to close it would simply swallow the jackpot itself. Disgusting.
William Hill brand Joyland even managed to persuade a pensioner to accept less than half of her £4,000,000 jackpot win in order to be paid out in one lump sum. Unbelievably they got away with it, pocketed the rest of the money themselves and were laughing all the way to the bank. Considering a Playtech Jackpot is held by Playtech and not the casino we consider this fraud and warranting severe legal punishment.

Playtech Casinos Blacklist

When one thinks of blacklisted casino sites, Playtech powered domains aren’t necessarily the first ones that come to mind. By and large, most blacklisted casinos are usually licensed by less-than-commendable licensing jurisdictions, or worse still, not licensed at all.
Playtech doesn’t really own any online casinos (not many, anyway), so most of the time, when the casino software provider is associated with a blacklisted casino, it is usually through no fault of their own. That isn’t always going to be the case, though, as you will discover in this piece.
Blacklisted Playtech casinos include:
777 Casino, 888 Casino, African Palace Casino, Bet365, Betfred, Betfair, Betrally, Boyle Sports Casino, Casino Plex, Casino Tropez, Casino X, Coral Casino, Eurogrand, Europa Casino, Everest Casino, Gala Casino, Gala Slots, Grand Reef, Indio Casino, Joyland Casino, Ladbrokes, Les A Casino, Mirror Casino, Reef Club, SCasino, Sky Vegas, Sun Bets, Titan Bet Casino, Virgin Casino, William Hill Casino, William Hill Casino Club and Winner Casino.

Casinos which feature pirated Playtech games

A great number of blacklisted Playtech casinos have no right to offer Playtech games at all and have no direct affiliation with the casino software giant. They carry, in a sense, pirated versions of Playtech games.
Pirated games are illegal copies of Playtech’s genuine casino games, and usually ones which have been rigged to make the odds of winning rather petite. Pirated games are always illegal, so when a casino is blacklisted for carrying pirated games, this should not reflect badly on Playtech, who are almost certainly innocent in the matter.
Casinos run by Elite Games/Elite Fortune Limited are known to feature pirated Playtech games. Their blacklisted casinos are mainly little-known domains, of white 777Vegas.net is the most famous. Global Gaming Service Casinos/Welcome Partners Group owned casinos are also blacklisted due to pirating Playtech’s games. The list here is more considerable and includes Eldorado Casino, Anonymous Casino and Joy Casino to name but a few.
Players should also watch out for Operia Costa Rica Casinos. These include BetDNA and Always Cool Casino. Other casinos caught with pirated Playtech games don’t really belong to any specific umbrella company and tend to be bitcoin-powered sites, such as 1xBet, BitCasino.io, and VegasCasino.io.
The chances are that you are seldom ever going to encounter these websites. That doesn’t make them any less of a problem, though.

The rare, but equally as bad eggs…

Playtech doesn’t get away scot-free, although no casino sites which is directly owned by Playtech can be accused of being fake, they have certainly had their fair share of controversies in the past. These are exceptionally rare instances and don’t directly involve cheating, but some rather dodgy terms and conditions.
In the past (because it is mostly a thing of the past) a few Playtech owned casinos, such as those running under the Euro Partners Group (Casino Bellini, Casino Tropez, Europa, Vegas red, Titanbet and Titan Casino, to name drop) have been known to engage in bonus abuse, partially pay out jackpots, and fix monthly withdrawal limits to the terms and conditions.
Bonus abuse stems from exceptionally large wagering requirements which are attached to bonuses and promotions. These once blacklisted Playtech casinos also paid out progressive jackpots in instalments, which was never mentioned in their terms and conditions. Lastly, by adding monthly withdrawal limits, the casinos stopped players being able to take out big winnings in one fell swoop, thus enriching their coffers. These practices have all but ended, restoring an honest and genuine fair play reputation to the aforementioned Playtech casinos.

Playtech casinos which fail to pay their players

Just because an online is blacklisted and happens to run Playtech software doesn’t necessarily make it Playtech’s fault. In fact, in many cases, Playtech are blameless in this department. After all, it is the owners of a casino who determine the overriding terms and conditions and policies of said website.
There can be any number of reasons why a casino may fail to pay out its players but failing to do so will instantly earn a casino the rage of players and a blacklisting to boot. Rand Logic Gaming Casinos are guilty of this.
These casinos include African Palace Casino, Grand Reef Casino and Indio Casino. All have been guilty of failing to pay players their winnings. In some cases, the casinos started to dish out withdrawals, only to stop suddenly. When pressed on the issue, they failed to reply.

Spam, junk and ad-heavy casinos

Of course, as well as blacklisted casinos, there are also rogue casinos, and some of these illegally use Playtech software (pirated) too. In many cases, rogue casinos are without a license of any kind, and it is extremely unlikely that Playtech would consent to a rogue casino without a license using their games.
These rogue casinos are often developed solely to rip players off. They offer fake bonuses, many of which are written in poor English, and spam mail is almost guaranteed. There is no trust whatsoever in these sites, which exist solely to extort money from unsuspecting players. The worst kinds of “casinos” out there, they are not even worthy of the name. Unfortunately, many people cannot seem to distinguish these shadowy, rogue casinos from the casino software provider who has unwittingly had their games stolen, and their good name tarnished. Some of these casinos are those owned by Wild Jungle, such as Wild Jungle Casino.

Tough luck for affiliates

Not all rogue or blacklisted casinos are bad eggs. In fact, a few of them have just fallen on hard times. Like every major business, casinos can go bust – even Playtech powered ones. There could be any number of reasons why a casino may lose its license, including not being able to pay for it due to a lack of customers. Whatever the reason, when a casino genuinely goes bankrupt, it will often choose to pay out its customers, though not necessarily its affiliates.
When a casino shuts down some of its services due to financial issues and does not pay its affiliates, it will still gather a blacklisted badge of dishonour. This badge will keep players away, and eventually, such sites will close. Even though they were legally licensed and offering legal Playtech games, Playtech’s name may once against be dragged through the mud here. Once again, these issues have nothing to do with Playtech, and in most cases, the casinos in question (such as Grand Duke) Casino close rather rapidly.
