The Corona Virus news epidemic has gone crazy with the lock downs now spreading out far and wide. After incubating the virus in hot spots in China then locking down cruise ships we now have a hotel in Tenerife closed off from the outside world and panic in Italy. Somehow even Iran’s deputy health minister is now claiming to have the virus. But this news epidemic spreads much further afield than even that.

Before we touch on the statistics and the reasons for the fear mongering, I promised you kittens… so here are some kittens. This is simply to illustrate how easy it is to spread news even without lies. The title of this article is kittens and corona virus and we can deliver you both – even though they are completely unrelated.

Always do your own research, make up your own mind and certainly be cautious relating to health matters – exercise, eat a healthy diet, take vitamin supplements and seek medical advice when necessary – but don’t let the mass media fear mongering scare you rigid.

According to Worldometers these are the death rates by age group:

Corona Virus versus the Common Influenza Virus

Since the outbreak was started in December there have globally been a total of 2,769 deaths (as of time of writing). This number is despite the first month having zero lock downs allowing the virus to spread around the world and despite the targeted incubation of cruise ships (a hotbed for disease on the best of days) and entire cities. And of course as with the common flu virus, many people either don’t report or even notice they are infected or are a carrier.

Compare these numbers to the common influenza virus according to the World Health Organization as published in numerous sources including the US National Library of Medicine.

“Until recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated the annual mortality burden of influenza to be 250 000 to 500 000 all-cause deaths globally; however, a 2017 study indicated a substantially higher mortality burden, at 290 000 to 650 000 influenza-associated deaths from respiratory causes alone, and a 2019 study estimated 99 000 to 200 000 deaths from lower respiratory tract infections directly caused by influenza.”

Remember SARS?

In 2002 the global media proclaimed SARS as the greatest threat to humanity since some made up thing or other. Total deaths? 774.

What about bird flu (avian flu) which the global media released onto us in 2013? Total deaths since 2013 = 616.

So Why All the Fear Mongering?

There are various schools of thought regarding the reason for creating this global panic (and some or all of these  may be connected):

1. The China vs USA trade war
2. The Chinese economy needed to slow down for the long term sustainability and growth so a manipulated crash was created
3. Iran – remember Iran? It was all over the news in 2019 and we were heading to crisis point with planes being shot down, ships being seized, etc. Strategically the US and friends need control over Iran and have been trying to take control for many years. All Iran related news in 2020 has been relegated and hidden away, heck there were elections in Iran this week, did you hear about them? The only news coming out of Iran is…. you guessed it, Corona Virus! It is like there’s nothing happening over there at all!
4. The global economy is heading for collapse – rather than politicians and banks taking the blame, we can all blame the global crash that is happening right now on the Corona Virus!

Whatever is really going on in the world I guess we will never know. Just keep your eyes and ears open and look further than the fake news that is being shoved down your throat.

Corona Virus Shows Bitcoin off as Worthless, Not a Safe Haven or “Digital Gold”

This website is of course about cryptocurrencies so a side note about crypto. The major players in crypto including the largest crypto media sites have long branded Bitcoin as a store of value, a safe haven, Digital Gold.

The real gold has been thriving while the economic world around it has been burning. Bitcoin has proven itself to be worthless as it has lost its only remaining use case. Gold rises but Bitcoin has crashed alongside the global stock markets. Bitcoin has absolutely nothing left now and it is about time the major influencers stop shilling this rubbish and start focusing on the small handful of useful cryptocurrencies. If not then there is a real risk the whole crypto market will completely disintegrate.
