Intergalactic Gaming Gold IGG Crypto Rating
Unlike most cryptocurrency ratings published online, the Wise Crypto ratings have nothing to do with the current or future price of the currency. Whether or not a crypto is over or undervalued or priced today is completely irrelevant. Our research focuses on the sustainability of each project, the security, the use case, decentralisation, environmental impact, the technology, the scalability and the developers and teams behind the projects.

Intergalactic Gaming (IGG) Rating= 390/1000
Technology (0 to 300) = 225
- Speed (0 to 50) = 40
Intergalactic Gaming employs the TRON protocol, which boasts speeds over 2000 transactions per second. This is 80 times faster than Ethereum. The fast and secure IGG transactions will indeed facilitate improved monetization and accessibility of esports across the planet.
- Cost (0 to 50) = 50
On the Intergalactic Gaming (IG), the central token on the TRON blockchain-Intergalactic Gaming Gold (IGG) is used as a form of tradeable value within the platform. This token can be used in the prize pools, for player compensation, to buy merchandise, or for a range of other activities. The transactions on the platform are free of charge.
- Scalability (0 to 50) = 40
Intergalactic Gaming employs the Tron Protocol, one of the largest blockchain-based operating systems in the world which offers scalable, high-availability, and high-throughput. The platform is, therefore, quite scalable and can host a large number of e-gamers.
- Reliability (0 to 50) = 25
Intergalactic Gaming provides a single platform to connect the various stakeholders in the competitive gaming landscape, providing an entry point for competitive Gaming, esports, and content creation. The platform solves the immense issues experienced in esports, including monetization, market fragmentation, limited accessibility, insecurity, and fraud.
- Environmental Impact (0 to 50) = 50
Concerning its impact on the environment, IGG tokens flow throughout the esports ecosystem and cannot be mined via PoW consensus. It, therefore, has a minimal environmental impact.
- Decentralization (0 to 50) = 20
Intergalactic Gaming operates on the Tron blockchain. However, there have been serious claims leveled against TRON, stating that the DPOS mechanism is pseudo-decentralized, causing a problem of centralized voting. This could have an impact on the projects based on Tron, including IGG – although a project as well managed as IGG could/should look to leave the Tron network in the future.
Security (-250 to 0) = -140
- DDoS Attacks (-100 to 0) = -50
The DDoS Attacks on the Tron blockchain where hackers employed a malicious smart contract to mine TRX. Since Intergalactic Gaming is built on the Tron blockchain, there could be a severe potential security threat on its token-Intergalactic Gold (IGG).
- Potential for Being Banned ( -100 to 0) = -40
Intergalactic Gaming aims at interconnecting the world through the love of Gaming while providing opportunities and rewards for grassroots gamers and teams. The platform is based in the UK, a country that seems to be embracing cryptocurrency (though with air-tight restrictions). It, therefore, faces minimal chances of facing a ban. However, the future of the project can be perceived to be 50/50 since it is aligned with the success of Tron though they do of course have the possibility to move to a better platform than Tron or even go it alone. This seems feasible as they are the largest independent project on the Tron network and are being frozen out of the SR positions by projects backed by Justin Sun (Tron) and CZ (Binance).
- Network Vulnerabilities ( -50 to 0) = -50
The use of blockchain such as Intergalactic Gaming in esports is faced with serious vulnerabilities, including insecure gateways and external APIs and disabling security filters. IGG is also built on Tron, which faces several critical vulnerabilities that allow hackers to override the blockchain’s integrity by producing blocks and collecting mining rewards.
Use Case (0 to 500) = 250
- Initial Main Use Case (0 to 100) = 20
The initial main use case of Intergalactic Gaming was to provide a platform whereby a central token on the TRON blockchain can be used as a tradeable value in the platform. The developers wanted IGG to be the designated currency in the prize pools, for player compensation, to buy merchandise, or for a range of other activities. The IG platform also enables IG’s partners to create their own tokens, which can be traded against IGG on the IG platform and other partner exchanges.
With eSports being the largest, most played and most watched “sport” on the planet (yes, bigger even than football/soccer) this is a serious and legitimate use case.
Update: Rating downgraded due to lack of progress.
- Mainnet (0 to 200) = 200
The co-founder of Intergalactic Gaming came up with its ideas in December 2017 via a book on the dynamic esports or competitive gaming industry. Intergalactic Gaming successfully launched its Mainnet on the Tron blockchain in July 2018. As aforementioned, IGG’s attachment to Tron could be the point of the network’s vulnerability.
- Additional Use Cases (0 to 100) = 0
The main use cases for IGG include that it’s used to reward players and teams for participating in the IG platform. GGE uses smart contracts to provide a secure and quick transactional point.
Core Team, Developers & Partnerships (0 to 200) = 55
- Core Team & Developers (0 to 100) = 35
The team behind Intergalactic Gaming is led by co-founders Josh and Naeem, who have vast knowledge and a huge passion in the field of esports. The team is based at the Intergalactic HQ located in Manchester City Centre, UK. They are dedicated to continue developing IGG and ensure the mission of interconnecting the world through the love of Gaming becomes a reality.
- Partnerships (0 to 100) = 20
Intergalactic Gaming has partnered with various organizations to spur Esport’s growth. Among the startups that have partnered with IGG include Team KaiRos, TKG, Mazer Gaming, Tron Esports, Sangal Esports, Masked Esports, TRONWalletMe (TWX) among other startups. Although all these partners are crucial to its ecosystem, it seems the platform is more suited to collaborate with companies in the sports and gaming sector. That means the project can miss out on synergies rendered in the other sectors.
We are awaiting additional information regarding their connections to Epic Games (Fortnite), EA Sports (FIFA) and Konami (Pro Evolution Soccer PES).
