Saturday November 19 – Afternoon Session (2pm-6pm) – Quarter-Finals x2
Ted Hankey 14-16 Mark Walsh
Gary Anderson 16-12 Terry Jenkins
Evening Session – 7pm-11pm – Quarter-Finals x2
Mark Webster 5-16 Adrian Lewis
Phil Taylor 16-7 Paul Nicholson
Paul won the bull but gave the throw to Taylor – a gamble, to try and break throw in the first leg. Now it looked like a great decision, as he was on a double way before Phil, but missed 5 darts for the leg, and Taylor punished him.
So the Semi finals tomorrow will be;
Mark Walsh vs Gary Anderson
Adrian Lewis vs Phil Taylor
Krispy Preview
I hope you’ve not got plans, cause we have two sessions of darts today, as all 4 games in the quarter finals will be played. And there are some right crackers coming up! Sky are saving their big ‘grudge game’ until last; Taylor vs Nicholson. Taylor did play that down last night, as I think he’s a little bored of it – but I’m sure Sky will be stoking it up for the fans tonight. It will be very tough for Nicholson to win in a best of 31 games format tho.
Up first is Hankey vs Walsh. Ted chucked some good darts in his last games, mixed in with some crowd baiting antics. Walsh has a lifetime of experience, so I can’t seeing that phasing him. Walsh isn’t known for long runs on TV, but his last game vs. Winstanley was a cracker, so if he keeps his head down, I can see him edging the game.
You get an hour or so off to fix up some grub before the main course! Lewis and Webster both had to battle in their games last night – so they’ve earned their places tonight. If Ade can hold concentration during this longer format, again I think the world champ should edge it.
Taylor vs. Nicholson, what a treat at the end of the night. Taylor is on A+ form right now, and Nicholson is showing some of the best fighting spirit I’ve seen from him. Can The Asset do it over 31 legs? Not sure he can, but I’ll be secretly cheering him on even so.
