Former Aristocrat Chief Product Officer Joins Scientific Games Corporation

It has been announced within the last 24 hours that that the former Aristocrat chief product officer; Rich Schneider, has agreed to join Scientific Games Corporation next year and will assume the role of chief product officer at the firm.

The role will involve overseeing product strategy along with defining R & D roadmaps as well as progressing the firm’s position as a technology and product leader in the industry.

Barry Cottle, chief executive officer and Scientific Games president commented on the appointment:

“Rich’s expertise in design, development and gaming makes him the perfect complement to our Scientific Games leadership team. Combining Rich’s expertise and creativity with our talented teams will bring industry-leading products and technology to our partners and their players.”

In addition, Matt Wilson, the company’s chief executive officer of gaming spoke highly of Schneider:

“Rich has an incredible ability to build a culture that allows creative talent to thrive. He’s overseen complex transformations of product organizations and our team will benefit greatly from his expertise and leadership.”

Rich Schneider has ‘served as Chief Product Officer at Aristocrat where he directed the creative studios, hardware development and product design’. He also held executive roles at Walker Digital Table Systems, Acres Gaming, and numerous leadership roles at IGT. A visionary in the industry, Schneider is also a founding member of the Gaming Standards Association and served for three years as its Vice Chairman.
