Some disks seem to have failed. Expect extended downtime. I will post updates here.

Is the data lost!?
This might be the first question that comes to mind when people hear the word disk failure. BitcoinTalk has been around form the start and has played a key role in the emergence of Bitcoin and what it is today. If a majority of the data on a forum of this scale would be lost, it would probably be the end for it. Luckily only 9 hours of data seems to have been lost.
Posts made in the last 9 hours might be lost, though we are still trying to recover them. If you still have posts from that time, save them.

Data since Jan 21 21:44 UTC will not be automatically recovered, though if anything important was lost, I might be able to find it manually.

Hopefully we will see BitcoinTalk up and running again in the next 12-24 hours.
