Sic Bo online real money
Sic Bo – Playtech
Sic Bo is a Chinese word for “dice pair”. The game itself originates in ancient China. In spite of the name, three dice are used in the game. The idea of the game is simple – you make a bet on a certain kind of a dice roll result. Then the dice are rolled. If the result you bet on does appear, you win; if it does not, you lose your bet.
- Click on a chip of desired value to select it. Then click on any bet area on the table to place your bet there (a list of available bets is shown in the Sic Bo Bets section). Every click on the area adds one chip to the bet. Select another chip if you wish to increase the bet by some other amount. Right clicking on the area removes one chip. You can place several chips into several areas at the same time.
- Click the Roll button.
Dice are now rolled and you will see the game result. Place your bets as described above and click Roll. You can also click Rebet to place the same bet as in the previous round.

|Rebet||Place the same bets as in the previous round.|

The payouts of games can be given in a number of different formats. To help you understand how to read the different payouts, each format used in our games is explained here.
1 to 1
If you bet on a position that pays 1 to 1, then this means that when you win, you get your bet back and the casino will also pay you exactly the same amount that you bet. For example, if you place 5 chips as a bet and win on a position that pays 1 to 1, then you first get back the 5 chips that you bet and you also receive 5 chips from the casino, for a total of 10 chips in that round.
2 for 1
If you bet on a position that pays 2 for 1, then this means that when you win, the casino will pay you an amount that is twice your bet, but your initial bet is not returned. For example, if you place 5 chips as a bet and win on a position that pays 2 for 1, then you receive 10 chips from the casino.
1 : 1
This format is equivalent to 1 to 1.
Sic Bo Bets
You may place multiple bets at the same time. You can identify the different bet areas on the table by placing the cursor on an area and reading the info text on the status bar (the low edge of the screen). Sic Bo features the following betting options:
Status bar info text on these areas is “Small” or “Big”. Small Bet wins if the total sum of the three dice is 4 to 10. Big Bet wins on a total of 11 to 17. Neither Small nor Big Bet wins if the three dice are of the same number (three of a kind).
The Small and Big Bet payoff ratio is 1 to 1.
Placing a number bet means you want a specific number to appear on as many dice as possible. Select a number from 1 to 6 and place your chip(s) on the corresponding area. Status bar info text for these areas is “One”, “Two”, “Three”, etc.
If the chosen number appears 1 time your bet pays 1 to 1, if it appears 2 times your bet pays 2 to 1 and if it appears 3 times your bet pays 3 to 1.
Make a bet on any of the 15 possible two dice combinations (for example 3 and 4; 2 and 5 or 2 and 6). Status bar info text for these bets is “Pair”.
If both numbers appear, your bet pays 5 to 1.
Placing a total bet means you want the total sum of the three dice to be a certain amount. Possible totals are from 4 to 17. 3 and 18 (which are also possible with three dice) are excluded. Status bar info text for these bet areas is “Total of 4”, “Total of 5”, “Total of 6”, etc.
The pay ratios for the total bet depends on the sum:
|Total of 4||60 to 1|
|Total of 5||30 to 1|
|Total of 6||17 to 1|
|Total of 7||12 to 1|
|Total of 8||8 to 1|
|Total of 9||6 to 1|
|Total of 10||6 to 1|
|Total of 11||6 to 1|
|Total of 12||6 to 1|
|Total of 13||8 to 1|
|Total of 14||12 to 1|
|Total of 15||17 to 1|
|Total of 16||30 to 1|
|Total of 17||60 to 1|
You bet on a specific pair to appear (for example, two 3’s). Status bar info text for these areas is “Double One”, “Double Two”, “Double Three”, etc. If at least two of the number chosen appear, you win 10 to 1.
You bet on a specific triple to appear (for example, three 2’s). Status bar info text for there areas is “Triple One”, “Triple Two”, “Triple Three”, etc. If the chosen triple appears, you win 180 to 1.
You win if all three dice have the same number (any three of a kind). Status bar info text for this area is “Any Triple”. Payoff ratio for this bet is 30 to 1.
Your No-Nonsense Guide to Playing Real Sic Bo Games Online
Sic Bo is predominantly played in Asia and including the casino haven of Macau, but has gained fans around the world via online casinos.
If you want to know more about this fast-growing game, our expert team has created this guide to teach you everything you need to know about Sic Bo and where best to play it.
Sic Bo Basics
The name means ‘precious dice’. This game is predominantly played in Asia and in the casinos of Macau, but has gained fans around the world through online casinos.
The gameplay is similar to craps, where the dice is rolled and the players bet on the outcome.
There is a betting table, just like craps, with different types of bet and the odds listed.
Instead of throwing the dice, the dealer places them in a small chest, shakes it, then opens the chest to reveal the result.
This is strictly a game of chance, as the player has no decision-making input. There is also less strategy than craps.
The main two bets are ‘big’ and ‘small’. A big bet is for a score of 11-17 and the small bet is for a score of 4-10. Neither includes a result of a triple.
How to Play Sic Bo Like an Expert
Stick to these simple principles and you will be playing blackjack like a pro in no time:
Know which bet to place
The main way to master sic bo is through knowing the various bets available. The big and small bets are the most common, as they give the player a neat almost 50/50 chance.
A triple result is a loss
A pro must also realise that a triple result is a loss, which is where the house edge comes from. The actual probability is therefore 48.6%.
Watch out for a triple
A triple is simply a result of three matching numbers, such as 3, 3, 3. Players can earn the biggest pay out, around 180 to 1, to bet on a specific triple appearing at a likelihood of around 0.46%.
Win at Sic Bo – Our Top Tips
“Sic Bo has no skill element so players can only make smart bets.”
“In casino Sic Bo, the player must not touch the dice.”
“The most common bets are big and small at almost 50/50.”
How to Improve Your Chances of Winning
Sic bo does not allow players to conduct a strategy, so the simplest way to improve your chances is by observing the nature of the various bets in the game.
The best bet in terms of chances is by far the big or small bet, or alternatively odds or evens, at a probability of 48.6%.
The house edge on triples prevent this from being a straight 50/50.
Those looking for bigger pay outs may want to consider a bet on dice combinations, i.e. for two of the dice to show a specific combination, such as 5 and 6, which has a 13.9% chance.
This is low still but pays 6 to 1 at most casinos. There is still a 2.8% house edge.
Players may also consider strategies for smart betting, such as the Martingale strategy of increasing the bet amount with each winning bet, but these are not fool-proof and merely represent a way to monitor how much is being wagered or won overall.
Sic Bow Rules
The rules are very simple, they operate a lot like craps.
In a casino, the dealer takes bets from each player as they place their chips on a certain part of the table. For online play, the player just clicks chips to wherever they want to bet.
Once all bets are in, the dice are shaken in a chest and revealed. Players cannot touch or use the dice at all, unlike craps.
The results are then checked and bets paid out as necessary. There is no second round, as seen in craps, so sic bo is a much faster game.
History of Sic Bo
This is likely one of the first betting games ever invented, far back in Chinese ancient history.
The game was introduced in America by Chinese immigrants in the 20th century, but only in the last decade has it gained legal status as a casino game in other areas like the UK.
Types of Sic Bo
Know the bets that will pay-out, the big or small best is by far the best odds.
Avoid specific triples, They pay out 180 to 1< and have the worst odds of any bet.
Consider a specific combination bet, these bets have a more manageable 13.9% probability.
